1. Aims and Scope
Before submission, please ensure your manuscript aligns with the journal's aims and scope.
The Journal of AI Production and Consumption (jAIpc) publishes original, high-quality
research that critically examines artificial intelligence
through a dual lens: as a product itself and as a transformative force on global systems.
We welcome studies that investigate:
- The Production of AI: The development, design, and governance of AI tools and
systems.
- The Consumption of AI: The adoption, use, and societal integration of these
technologies.
- AI's Transformative Impact: How AI reshapes the production and consumption of
goods and services across all economic and social sectors.
The journal encourages interdisciplinary work and particularly welcomes submissions that
contextualize these themes within the African experience,
engaging directly with global dialogues. For a detailed description, please see our [link to
Aims & Scope page].
2. Article Types
jAIpc accepts the following types of submissions:
- Research Articles: Original, significant empirical or theoretical research
(6,000–8,000 words, including abstract, references, tables/figures).
- Review Articles: Comprehensive, critical surveys of existing literature on a
defined topic, identifying gaps and future research directions (8,000–10,000 words).
- Case Studies: Detailed analyses of specific AI implementations, projects, or
policies, with clear lessons learned (4,000–6,000 words).
- Viewpoints/Commentaries: Opinionated pieces on current trends, controversies, or
ethical dilemmas in the field (2,000–3,000 words).
- Book Reviews: Critical reviews of recent scholarly books relevant to the
journal's scope (1,000–1,500 words).
3. Submission Criteria
